The origin of the Den Daas family businesses lies in the brick-making industry.
Three generations of the Den Daas family were involved in this business for many years. The factories are now headed by Gert-Jan den Daas and are named Daas Baksteen.
Our father, Jan Willem den Daas, was a businessman in heart and soul. After selling the brick-making factories to us, he decided to specialise in the leisure industry. In the mid-70s, Dorado Beach opened its gates as a stationary caravan park on the river IJssel. The name may come as a bit of a surprise, but it had to be a name that contained the D and the B of Daas Baksteen so that the same logo could be used!
Over the years, the marinas Jachthaven Bruinisse, Marina Muiderzand in Almere and Jachthaven Naarden were added to the business. In 2008 our father and founder Jan Willem den Daas passed away. Den Daas Recreatie is now continued by his four children with Nanke den Daas as the director.
